And this test is first time contact with all team for New Yokohama Tyre. So Attention gather in time and performance.
・Day1 Morning (2hours)
Under dry condition session. They set new tyres (of course new tyre supplier). 2015 regular and rookie energetically run into the circuit.
Some interesting info. Toshihiro Kaneishi replace to Takuya Izawa for morning session. And P.MU/Cermo・Inging champion driver Hiroaki Ishiura and Yuji Kunimoto both driver switch machine.
It seems vehicle comparison.
After 1st an hour, Naoki Yamamoto (Team Mugen) spun and introduce red flag. Then also posted three times the red flag.
Finally time gradually improving to reach 1:37.831 setting by J.P.Oliveira (Lenovo Team IMPUL).
Naoki Yamamoto (Team Mugen) continue 2nd position. 3rd is 2015 champion Hiroaki Ishiura (P.MU/Cermo・Inging).
Top of rookie driver is Yuhi Sekiguchi (Lenovo Team IMPUL) 7th.
Center of attention is Mclaren reserve and GP2 champion Stoffel Vandoorne (Docomo Team Dandelion).
But Vandoorne suffers engine problem for morning session. So ended 17th position.
・Afternoon session (2 hours)
Rain failing and half wet condition. Aamong them, rookie Yuhi Sekiguchi sets slick tyre and scores top time.
Rainfall increases after first 1 hours. For that reason all driver sets Yokohama’s wet tyre.
So they can try slick and wet tyre in this testing.
And finally Sekiguchi’s fastest remain top of time sheet Day1 afternoon.
